Mike Varrassi, our longtime friend and mentor, passed away on February 2, 2017 due to complications of a heart transplant surgery. He was born in 1951 in Holden in Logan County, West Virginia to Pat and Jeanne (nee Estep) Varrassi. Shortly after his birth they moved to Cincinnati and he was reared in Montgomery, Ohio. Genell Greer passed from this life to begin eternal life with her Lord and Savior on December 16, 2016. She was born June 2, 1924 in Emhouse, Texas, Navarro County. She was a long-time and faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Anna, Texas. Services for Dudley William Hall (DW) age 89 of Anna will be held Tuesday December 13, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Anna. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Scoggins Funeral Home in Van Alstyne. He passed away Wednesday in McKinney. He was born May 11, 1927 to Dudley Willie and Rona Belle Hanks Hall. He married Peggy Ann Burks July 1, 1950 and they shared 66 ½ years together. He served in the United States Army for 3 years and retired as Senior Master Sargent in the United States Air Force after 20 years of service in 1972. He served in both the Korea & Vietnam War. Dudley was a member of Anna United Methodist Church the Masonic Lodge of Melissa and the Scottish Rite. He is survived by his wife Peggy Hall of Anna. Sons and their wives: William Bill and Donna Hall of The Colony: Frankie Dale and Cynthia Hall of Anna. Grandchildren: Jennifer Hall Hayes, Jeff Hall, Cody Hall and wife Sarah, Dereck Hall, Tanner Hall & Haylee, Jacob Eady and Adian Pfeuffer and wife Vanesa. Great-Grandchildren: Houston, Heather, Lani, Luke, Logan, Alesa, Travis, Tucker, Tanner, Reece, Cayden & ½. Sisters- In- Laws: Mary Wardlaw, Virginia Willingham, Peggy Pearl Hall and Norma Hall. Multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Hall, Cody Hall, Tanner Hall, Dereck Hall, Jacob Eady and Houston Hayes.
